Great way to get extra weight.

Great way to add an extra weight to your Bowflex System. The description and picture on this site are horrible. The two rods have a block with groves attached to the bottom, this is made to slide on to the back of the rod block. Has a plate to screw the rods to the system. Makes the system incr...

Easy to go from one exercise to another. Great for keeping heart rate up and low impact weight training. Bad thing is resistance is not uniform. It gets harder the more the rods bend. For example, on the bench press, it is easy in the beginning but much more resistance at the top of the exercise so you miss the resistance in the beginning.

After purchasing these, I realised just how much resistance my original power rods have lost. Testing with a weight, there is a difference of 20 lbs of resistance between the new rods and the old rods. This is significant and makes it difficult to determine how much weight to use and which rods to use.

50 lb power rod addition/upgrade for the 310 lb rods on my 20 year old Bowflex Ultimate II. Got this to add more weight for squats. Works very well. Stronger than my other rods since they are 20 years old and well used so I include the new ones during many exercises.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
